Brett Strot

AppleMarkBrett Strot, a Minneapolis, Minnesota native, is the head coach of the Jacksonville Ice Dogs. From 2003-2006, Brett was an assistant coach for the Jacksonville Barracudas of the Southern Professional Hockey League (SPHL). During the 2003-2004 season the Cudas won the regular season title and the President's Cup playoff championship. Prior to becoming the head coach of the Ice Dogs Jr Program, Strot teamed up with families from the southeast to form an independent U14 AAA team that reached the USA National Tournament in 2006-07.

Coach Strot also played 10 years professionally in the ECHL, UHL, ACHL, IHL & WHA2 and was a three-year letter winner at the University of Minnesota. After retiring from the game in 1997, Strot became the general manager/coach of the Jacksonville Hammerheads (Southern Elite Hockey League) to start his coaching career.

Strot is married and he and his wife, Tammy, have two children, Maverick Bretson & Aspen Rae. The Strots have been Jacksonville residents for the past twelve years.

Robb, a native of Minnesota currently serves as the President and Owner of Goalcrease Inc., which has become a world leader in the development of hockey goalies. In 1988 while attending the University of Minnesota, Robb became the first goalie to win the Hobey Baker Award, presented annually to the best college hockey player. He went on to play 10 years professionally in the NHL and AHL.
